Founded by professional ballerina Nicole of South Carolina Ballet, Bunhead Approved is already making waves in the dancewear community with its thoughtful, honest, and insightful reviews for dancers, by a dancer.

Nicole isn’t just any dancer—she’s currently in her 10th season with South Carolina Ballet and her second as a Principal Dancer. Her ballet journey began at the young age of four under the direction of William Starrett and Mariclare Miranda at Columbia Conservatory of Dance. She’s performed iconic roles like Clara in The Nutcracker and Victoria in Dracula: Ballet with a Bite, and has trained with world-renowned programs including Boston Ballet, Washington Ballet, Bolshoi Ballet (on a YAGP scholarship), Houston Ballet, and Tulsa Ballet. Her professional credits span beloved classical ballets like Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, Romeo and Juliet, and more contemporary works such as Motown and Studio 54.

With such a deep understanding of what dancers really need, it means the world to us that she chose to review some of our pieces—and loved them!
